You cannot be involved in your community without being involved in politics. The KCYLA transends political parties and gets to the root of politics. Electing people who will uphold the US and WA state Constitutions, Protect our private property rights, freedoms, and liberties. This committee is a watchdog to our publicly elected officials to make sure that they are working for us and listening to the grassroots. We will only support a candidate who is a member of the KCYLA and only after the committee has reviewed and made a reccomendation to the Central Committee.

Currently all costs associated with this committee currently come from the Operations Fund. We currently do not give any monetary support to any of the candidates we support but if the Accountability and Central committees decide that is a direction the KCYLA would like to go we will then look into creating an Accountability Fund that you may give directly to. Note- We have no affiliation with any either the Republican or Democratic Parties. You as a member are welcome to join and participate in the parties but we will not support or give to either party. We may however support our members who run in a partisian contest but we will not support them based on their political party affiliation.

Purpose- Is to empower the members of the KCYLA to run for public office and to educate the members of the KCYLA about the need for political and public participation.

Goals- To get Young Leaders elected to public offices including but not limited to; community councils, city councils, cemetary districts, fire commissions, PUD commissioners, County governmental offices, and etc... Also, in times of need the committee will be the lobbying arm of the KCYLA.

Duties- Holding our publicly elected offficals accountable, training and electing Young Leaders, writing and updating the KCYLA platform and committee plan, educating the KCYLA members about the constitution, Lobbying efforts within the county, reviewing candidates and make reccomendations on candidates.
