Klickitat County Young Leaders Association

About Us
The  Klickitat County Young Leaders Association is composed of community minded individuals. Our members include publicly elected officials, farmers & ranchers, teachers, entrepreneurs, loggers, health care workers, service members, police officers, engineers, lawyers,  homemakers, college, high/middle school students,  and etc...

We believe in the wisdom and knowledge of our older generations and have opportunities for them to be involved in the KCYLA through our Rockingchair Corps. The Corps is composed of individuals over the age of 40 who would like to give back to their community and to help mentor our Young Leaders. Corps members are also featured in our Sponsors section.

We were formed in 2009 to address the needs of our local communities. We cannot look to the government for the answers to our fiscal and social ailments. In order to provide for our families and communities we have come together to ensure that our children have basic education, recreational opportunities, as well as work ethics. Our association works to ensure that our members have full time jobs and our businesses are successful.

Because Klickitat County is so large we hold our regular meetings via phone conferences and web conferences. Every full member has an equal vote in the direction and priorities of the association and there is no chairman to control the association. It is our goal to positively influence our communities through our standing committees and we encourage you to join the KCYLA and become involved in your community.

Joining is simple, just click on the Join/Donate button at the top of the screen and follow the directions. After you fill out the Membership Application you will then be directed to the Pay Dues page and asked to pay yearly membership dues of $15 dollars per individual or $25 dollars per couple. These dues are used towards the costs of maintaining the website and phone conferencing software.

Because our goal is to volunteer and give back to our communities, all of our members and officers go without pay and we have no physical place of business. Our generation was raised with access to the internet which allows this website to be our office.

Our membership is growing at a steady pace. With this growth, we have been able to accomplish more and have a larger impact upon our community. We welcome you with open arms.

New- We have created an Service Members page- The page is to recognize all of our men and women in the armed services. You will find their names, military branch, Rank, if they are active in the KCYLA, and their contact information.
